Balearia Announces Additional High-Speed Ferry Service for Operation Paso del Estrecho

The shipping company Balearia has announced an additional rotation for its high-speed vessel on the route between the ports of Ceuta and Algeciras starting from this Saturday, June 22, as part of Operation Paso del Estrecho (OPE).

According to information released by the shipping company through the Port Authority, the increase in service is due to the launch of Operation Paso del Estrecho (OPE) this past Thursday.

Balearia has stated that from this Saturday, the high-speed vessel “Avemar Dos” will conduct an extraordinary rotation from Algeciras to Ceuta at 11:30 PM and from Ceuta to Algeciras at 1:00 AM.

This decision is aimed at facilitating the travel of Maghrebis crossing the Strait to spend their summer holidays in Morocco.

The Avemar Dos is a high-speed vessel measuring 82 meters in length, with a capacity to accommodate 855 passengers and 174 vehicles.
